Peter is a warm, experienced Psychologist with over 20 years counselling experience. Curious, non-judgemental and welcoming, Peter seeks to work collaboratively with clients, building on individual strengths to help create a rich, full and meaningful life.

With an inclusive approach to working with people of all ages, genders, spiritual beliefs, ethnic and social backgrounds, Peter can help those struggling with depression, anxiety, stress and more. Drawing on his experience implementing projects and leading teams outside of psychology, Peter looks to the broader context of his client’s lives while simultaneously focusing on what they’d want to do differently.

Peter creates a safe environment to enable clients to do more of what they find important and connect with those who matter to them. Peter uses the most modern, evidence-based approaches to counselling, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, to help clients to reach their therapy goals and live a life of vitality. 

Peter knows that therapy needs to be individually tailored, and shaped by ongoing feedback, so that clients have the best chance possible of taking action doing more of what they care about most. Outside of psychology, Peter is a husband, a father and a keen outdoors enthusiast.

Peter draws from a variety of evidence-based therapy models including modern Cognitive Behavioural approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Peter also draws on trauma informed approaches such as Trauma Focused ACT (TF-ACT), Trauma Focused CFT, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and ego state therapy.
