The Brisbane ACT Centre is Queensland’s centre of excellence in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. We are a partnership of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, therapists and occupational therapists committed to growing, learning and prospering together. We’re now well-known with a large, growing referral base thanks to an exploding ACT evidence-base and community awareness. We are passionate ACT practitioners working together to grow as therapists and meet our goals. We welcome therapists passionate about ACT to join us in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our space is located in Milton, just outside of the city with easy public transport access and plenty of parking. Our fees go towards renting this beautiful space, marketing the centre, the reception management software and our reception staff.

The Details
The Brisbane ACT Centre has four large rooms available, 3 of which have large windows with a view of greenery. The space has been recently purpose refurbished for us, including sound proofing for your clients comfort. We tailored our rooms to therapists needs. Our rooms vary in size between 10 square metres at the smallest and 23 square metres at the largest. Each room is outfitted with comfortable and attractive chairs and furniture. Photographs by local artists adorn the walls.
Joining the BAC means being supported in building your practice cost effectively with a group of like-minded individuals. We rent our rooms out, in daytime or evening session blocks charging a standard room fee per session filled. We have a terrific reception team that manage this process, and we’re developing an online booking system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who are we looking for?
- A Clinical Psychologist with thorough ACT training, experience and passion.
- Preferably Masters Degree, Doctorate, or PhD in Clinical Psychology.
Strongly self-motivated, and also enjoys being part of a coherent collegial team.
Able to see clients at least two days a week, including an evening – and weekend if possible.
Full psychology registration, Medicare provider number, has ABN, Better Access eligible.
Enthusiasm / experience running groups would be great, large rooms are designed for groups.

Plans and Pricing
We have four rooms available.
Office One is available for evening blocks, Monday to Friday from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Office one includes a data projected and is well suited to group meetings.
All rooms include phone, internet, booking through CorePlus and our excellent reception team.
Weekend day blocks use the rooms evening rate.
Even if you’re working in the evening you get the advantage of the receptionist for bookings and billing.
