We have an experienced team of expert Brisbane psychologists and we’d like to introduce you to the team. Each of our psychologists are hand picked for their warmth, expertise and training. Our team have a diverse range of strengths and diverse clients to match them. We work out of our beautiful, central practice with individuals, couples, groups, executives and entrepreneurs. We have performance psychologists helping people to be their best, a psychiatrist providing expert pharmacology care, clinical and counseling psychologists that can help with depression, anxiety, stress, grief and so much more. A GP referral is required for for psychiatrist appointments, and GP Better Access Mental Health Care Plans are required for psychologist appointments. Medicare rebates are available and there is also a “gap fee” payable for each session – see here for more details. Currently minimal waiting time for psychology appointments, 2 – 3 months for psychiatry appointments.

Marcela is a clinical psychologist and ACT clinician who is passionate about using modern cognitive behaviour therapies, in particular Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (i.e. ACT!), to help ease many common human struggles. She has expertise in helping clients with a range of presentations including but not limited to anxiety, depression, life transitions, acute stress, relationship issues, change of careers, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, sleep difficulties, self-esteem, chronic pain, body image (all ages) and substance abuse.

Sam has a diverse background working as a student counsellor, a psychologist, and a research field worker.
Sam has spent much of his working career within the university setting as a student counsellor. He has also worked as a psychologist in private practice and as a research field worker in the School of Psychology and Social Work at QUT. The most meaningful part of Sam's work as a psychologist is learning about people’s lives from the unbearably painful periods to post traumatic growth.
Pragnya Indugula

Pragnya is a passionate Psychologist with a strong focus on empowerment. She loves the challenge that working with mental health brings and feels honored to be working with incredible people to help them live their best lives.  She is compassionate, friendly, and flexibly works in collaboration with her clients to reach their goals while keeping their holistic wellbeing at the forefront.
Sebastian Barbero
Bachelor of Psychology, Master of Clinical Psychology

Sebastian’s wide experience comes from working in a variety of settings, both in the public and private sectors. He is particularly interested in working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing a range of mental health issues including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, stress, drug and alcohol dependency, anger management, grief and loss, interpersonal difficulties, family issues, and trauma.

Jeremy is a registered psychologist who has a genuine interest in helping people and making a difference to their lives. His warm and easy-going nature allows others to open up and engage during sessions. He enjoys staying active, getting outdoors, travelling, and meeting new people.
Jeremy has worked in a variety of settings such as sport and exercise, drug and alcohol use, chronic pain and injury rehabilitation. He has also worked with a range of ages including children, adolescents, up to older adults. In particular, Jeremy is passionate about working in performance psychology to maximise a person’s full potential.

Ali is a natural teacher and believes that information is power – the more people understand, the more they can change the type of person they wish to be and the type of life they want to live.

Tomas Tapper

Tomas provides individual psychological support and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults for a range of presenting issues. Tomas understands that no two clients are alike, and as such, tailors his approach to the individual. His counselling style is about building a relationship to work together with the client so that they can determine and pursue the goals that are most important to them, not someone else’s agenda. Tomas works primarily with the psychological therapy techniques of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. 
Nikita Kotlarov

Appointment Fees
All of our therapists are registered with medicare, and so you are eligible for medicare rebates.

Each session is an hour long, sometimes therapists fees can vary but on average the gap fee is $90-160 plus medicares contribution. All offer concessions at their discretion to those struggling to afford full fee of about half the full “gap”, and all our therapists will very occasionally offer “bulk bill” or no gap fee sessions.

Our psychiatrists charge about $238 gap fee for first, assessment session, then about $225 gap for hourly sessions thereafter. Our psychiatrists also offer concessions at their discretion to those struggling to afford full fee of about half the full “gap”, and will very occasionally offer “bulk bill” or no gap fee sessions. Please note a $150 deposit is required for an initial consultation with Dr. Purssey.

Full fees (including Medicare component) are payable at the time of appointment by EFTPOS, Credit Card or cash, AND instant online Medicare rebating of all the fee except the “gap” will be available at the Centre. Please call our receptionists on 3193 1072 with any queries
