Ali is a compassionate, highly intuitive psychologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. Friendly, down-to-earth and practical in her approach, Ali seeks to truly connect with her clients and support them to tap into their own inner wisdom and strength. Ali is a natural teacher and believes that information is power – the more people understand, the more they can change the type of person they wish to be and the type of life they want to live.

In her work across child protection, community mental health, and inpatient hospital settings, Ali has gained a wealth of skills and knowledge in assessment, crisis management, individual and group therapies, and fostering positive outcomes for even the most challenging situations and complex mental health presentations. Ali is passionate about being genuine, creative and flexible in her approach to ensure her clients feel safe, understood, and comfortable to open up about their personal difficulties and goals.

Ali is able to help young people and  their families explore their unique strengths, challenges and communication patterns so young people and their parents can feel more connected. Drawing on a wide range of therapeutic approaches, Ali can tailor her clients’ treatment plans to address their particular challenges and preferences. She regularly uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and draws on her training in Buddhism & Psychotherapy to teach people about universal principles such as self-compassion and mindfulness.

Ali is passionate about lifelong learning so is a keen reader and podcast listener. She lives in Brisbane with her two cheeky cats, and enjoys travelling, reading, yoga, nature hikes and live music concerts.
